Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, except in July, August and December. The Guild's extensive library collection of books, pamphlets and video tapes is available for members' use during the 6:30 to 7:30 social time, after that show-and-tell, then a program is presented, with subjects such as basketry techniques and materials, members' basketry travels, or unique basket makers. Visitors are welcome to attend. The purpose of our guild is to preserve and promote the art of basket making.

Members are primarily from the states of Washington and Oregon, and range from
beginning basket weavers to the professional artist.
Besides being able to hang out with a lot of wonderful people, members get the newsletter (11 months a year), attend our annual Retreat and Basket Days, have the opportunity to learn a variety of techniques from our outstanding teachers, use our library of books and video tapes, and recieve information of "basketry happenings" around the Northwest and nationally.

In case of inclement weather, the Guild meetings will follow the snow closure of the Shoreline School District. Go to the SchoolReport web site and check on the Shoreline School District or Shoreline Community College. We meet in the Chrysalis Building at

Shoreline Unitarian Church
14724 1st Avenue NorthEast
Shoreline, WA  98155

Gallery Gala
Each year at our Spring Retreat a gallery is set up to showcase our members' work.Members submit up to three baskets for the Gallery. This year, the theme will be "Past, Present and Future", in keeping with our 30th anniversary celebration.
On Friday night after dinner, we open the Gallery show with a Gala. All of the wonderful baskets are available for close-up viewing while snacking on fine chocolates and sparkling cider. Our members are diverse and talented, and it is always inspiring and amazing to see what they are doing. This is our chance to share - we especially encourage beginners to exhibit their work.
